At the age of fourteen, she learned Aikido. By fifteen, she had mastered it. She also tried Jiu Jitzu, but she found that it didn't fit her style. When she was nineteen, her sister's young akita, Ranger appeared right after she had dissapeared. She went to a school in Calafornia, and graduated top in her classes. She got a job as an engineer, working for two years.

Lauren, Savannah's Sister
As Lauren watched the sun rise from her rail, her blond hair began to light up, the rays making it a light, off-white color. She looked down at the humanoids going about below, milling around. So pointless. She was safe here. Yet, she took out the long knife she had found, and sharpened it quickly. Sheathing the now-keen blade, she removed another hand-to-hand weapon--a trench spike. She knew this to be an amazing item to puncture a skull, destroying the brain.
She looked down again, and a small smile played itself out across her face. She placed the trench spike back in it's own place, and looked down. Ranger appeared like a grey ghost behind her. She stroked his head softly and he lay down at her feet loyaly. She looked back up, at the approaching horde, and a grim smile fluttered on her lips.
She knew she would be destroyed, turned into just another of the walking dead. She took Ranger's head in her hands, and kneeled by him, looking into his intelligent golden eyes with her own green ones. "Ranger, you need to find a way back home. Go to Savannah." She said, her tone grave and serious. Ranger whined, and licked her hand. He turned, and looked back at her. She waved to him. "Goodbye, Ranger." She whispered. The akita puppy left, his tail down.
